8 January 2001

Dear TCA Friend,

As TCA builds momentum, it gets harder to find the time to get our little newsletter out each month. However, there's a good reason why this one is a little late. I wanted to wait until I could report on the Aircraft Electronics Association's Annual Convention in Dallas, TX, April 26-28. But first--

TCA Welcomes Airtronics, Reno, NV

TCA welcomes our fifth affiliate, Airtronics, located at the Reno/Tahoe Airport in Reno, NV. Owned by Jim Lewis and ably assisted by his wife, Carol, Airtronics has an outstanding reputation in California and Nevada for integrity and quality. As an added bonus, Jim served on the AEA's Board of Directors, so TCA will not only benefit from Jim's experience and knowledge from his shop's point-of-view, but from the point-of-view of all the shops he represented while serving on the AEA Board.

As just one indicator of Airtronic's commitment to quality and value, Jim and his crew are fulfilling a large contract to equip a number of Cessna 206s for the California Highway Patrol.

We're really glad to welcome Airtronics to the growing TCA family.

Aircraft Electronics Association Convention

The Aircraft Electronics Association held its convention in Dallas, TX last week and we attended this annual gathering of avionics shops, manufacturers and service providers. In addition to seeing many old friends and associates, we were able to talk to a number of shop owners about joining TCA. In all, we handed out over 20 TCA information packages that we'll be following up on this month.

As important as the dealer contacts were the manufacturers and service providers we had a chance to talk with. As a result of our contacts, it appears as though we'll be developing programs for TCA dealers with such well-known and respected manufacturers as Honeywell (Bendix/King), Century Autopilots, S-TEC Autopilots, Eventide Moving Maps and Shadin Company among others.

Airport Option Offer

A number of prospective shops have indicated that although they want to join TCA, they want to wait until TCA is a little further along in it development. In order to accommodate these dealers, we've introduced an Airport Option Program that allows the dealer, for a non-refundable $250 deposit, to have the right of first refusal to become the TCA dealer at the airport where they're located. This Airport Option is valid for up to five years and converts to a $500 credit toward their Set-Up Fee should they elect to become a TCA dealer.

Tower Contracts

TCA dealers have completed the first six airline and airport tower communications system installations. Most of the installations went off without a hitch (there's always one "problem child", but we even conquered it). TCA dealers still have 6-7 more installations to do before the contract is completed. This contract is representative of the kind value-added business TCA plans to bring to our dealers.

Until next month--
Yours truly,

J. Phil McCoy
President & C.E.O.
