COLUMBUS, Ohio -- March 30, 2001 -- J. Phil McCoy, President of TransContinental Avionics Corporation (TCA) announced today that TCA has been selected by Diversified Communications Group (DCG) of Cincinnati to provide installation and field support of aeronautical AM and FM equipment for DCG customers under an exclusive agreement between the two companies.
Alan J. Werner, president of DCG, said selected TCA affiliated dealers will install and maintain DCG systems at airports throughout the United States. DCG's aeronautical systems comply with FAA Regulations under Part 121 and Part 119 and are also used by Part 135 operators.
According to Mr. Werner, DCG supplies AM and FM radio systems, including dial access; commercial FM systems, including repeaters and portable FM radios; voice-logging recording equipment; designs and installs operations control centers; and provides radio-telephone console switch communications equipment.
Mr. McCoy said the agreement would allow TCA affiliated avionics shops to provide DCG with quality avionics specialists throughout the United States. TCA is building a national chain of independently-owned and operated avionics shops which operate under a common, nationally recognized service mark.
