TCA ADDS TWO DEALERS AFTER INITIAL ANNOUNCEMENT



COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Feb. 23, 2001 -- J. Phil McCoy, president of TransContinental Avionics Corporation, has announced the addition of two dealers to the growing TCA team of independently owned and operated avionics dealers.

Mr. McCoy said the first story on the formation of his new company appeared as a one-paragraph "mention" in a prominent on-line aviation publication late in December. Within days he received nearly 40 on-line responses and calls requesting membership information and information about TCA products and locations.

Two dealers, Royal Avionics Systems of Mesa, Arizona, and Houston Gulf Coast Avionics of League City, Texas (outside of Houston), became charter members in January joining the flagship TCA dealership, East Kansas City Avionics, Grain Valley, Missouri, owned by Dennis Stoll.

According to McCoy, TCA plans to add only about 10 more "charter" dealers to assist TCA in "debugging" its web site and develop procedures initially. Charter dealers, who join TCA at a reduced fee, agree to work with TCA as the firm begins to develop and deliver an extensive suite of interactive services via its web site "www.tcaavionics.com" "At the moment," Mr. McCoy explained, "we have at least another 12-15 very diverse dealers who are considering charter affiliations."

TCA is forming a national chain of independently-owned and operated avionics shops which will operate under a common, nationally recognized service mark "TCA" to offer aircraft owners a coast-to-coast network of qualified repair and installation facilities.

TCA offers participating avionics shops the benefits of association with a nationally advertised chain of shops whose combined purchasing power and inter-communications will provide each shop with a greater ability to serve the needs of the flying public.

In January, TCA also formed a strategic alliance with Dallas Avionics to supply a wide variety of avionics, test equipment and accessories. Under the program, Dallas Avionics will offer TCA dealers special leasing and purchase programs.

TCA Charter dealer, Royal Avionics Systems, is a subsidiary of Royal Aviation, Inc., located at Falcon Field in Mesa.
